Cleaning & Disinfecting Using Vinegar
Vinegar is an effective, natural cleaning & disinfecting agent in a pet environment for certain items. It is important to NEVER MIX VINEGAR WITH ANY OTHER CLEANING CHEMICALS SUCH AS BLEACH OR AMMONIA. Mix equal parts of vinegar and water in your shampoo mixing bottles and leave overnight to clean them and leave them free of bacteria.
Equal parts of vinegar and water in a spray bottle is also an effective, safe cleaner for muzzles and restraints.
While vinegar has some disinfecting properties, it may not be the very best if other options exist. Please refer to your equipment manufacturer’s recommendations. Here is a helpful resource explaining some other options: Vinegar Resources
