This is a very common coat on the dogs we see in the grooming salon. Many of the coats that fall into this category are on drop coated breeds that have been given shorter, lower maintenance trim styles. These coats need to be set up properly in order to execute a beautiful haircut. Typical breeds with this coat type include the Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Maltese, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier and many mixed breeds.
