Cheryl Purcell specializes in Kerry Blue Terriers. She had bred and shown them for years. In this lesson, she is working on a retired AKC Champion that was recently groomed for a grooming competition. Cheryl demonstrates how to get the most out of your dog with lots of trimming secrets for this breed. She leads you through common styling mistakes she sees all the time in the ring. Cheryl discusses the faults she sees while showing you how to tweak the trim. By the end of the video, the dog looks much more stylish with some minor changes. She’ll show you how to create a beautiful neck, streamline the head, show power, build the body and highlight correct movement in the breed. Cheryl also covers how to produce the unique marcel coat found in the Kerry Blue.

Cheryl Purcell NCMG began her grooming career in 1991. A Nationally Certified Master Groomer, Cheryl is known nationally and internationally as one of the industry's top pet stylists. She has been successfully competing and winning at grooming competitions since 1993. Major wins include Multiple "Best-In-Show" wins and multiple "Best-All-Around" wins. She ranked as a GroomTeam USA Top 10 Stylist from 2002 to 2007 (a group composed of the top 10 groomers in this country).
Cheryl also served on the Board of NEPGP (New England Pet Grooming Professionals) for several years, was the 2005 Groom Team Liaison and is the current GroomTeam Coordinator.
