Maintaining a heavily coated American Cocker can be a real challenge for both the stylist and the owner. Misty shows you how to maintain the more desirable natural back coat on this pet by using carding, raking, hand stripping, and thinning shear techniques. She also shows you how to clip the face to minimize tracking lines. The owner has requested Dicken’s crown to be removed, but Misty leads you through the steps to set the pattern lines to create the preferred domed head style on an American Cocker and then clearly shows you the difference once the coat has been removed.
